Ahoy fellow gamers and landlubbers alike! I’m thrilled to share the maiden voyage of GameBoot GmbH, a spirited game development studio setting sail from the picturesque shores of Heidelberg, Germany. 🏴☠️
Chapter 1: Setting Sail
We started our adventurous journey early in 2023, more specifically end of March. In the heart of Heidelberg, our dynamic crew of five — Darius, Alexei, Julian, Leon and Laura — joins forces to embark on a thrilling adventure in the world of gaming. Together, we form the current team of GameBoot GmbH and are ready to conquer the vast seas of game development.
Chapter 2: Our GameDev Corsairs 🏴☠️
Let me introduce you to our fantastic crew:
- Darius: He is our technical UI wizard and game play programmer, fluent in multiple programming languages like C# and C++. With a personality blend of agreeableness, focus, and creativity, Darius is the man behind most of our Unreal Engine code.
- Alexei: Our Lead Game Designer and Co-Founder, a creative force navigating the seas of game design has his roots in programming as well. Nowadays though he leads the charge in crafting captivating gaming experiences and coming up with fun mechanics and gamification ideas.
- Julian: He is the reliable tech lead and Master of web and app development, as well as IT, on board of the GameBoot. With honesty, openness and his seemingly never ending well of knowledge, Julian ensures our ship sails smoothly through the complexities of project and game development.
- Leon: The newest addition to our crew so far is still a Game Dev in training. He is versatile and fast with his Unity background, quickly learning to navigate in Unreal, and already supporting Julian with web and mobile development.
- Laura: Our fearless captain, project manager, and Art Director. With a personality as communicative, motivated, creative, and ambitious as the sea is vast, Laura leads the crew to explore uncharted territories and tell the stories about our adventures.
